A Little About Me

My name is Diane L. Barros

I have my own business and work exclusively on photography, digital or film; I use a laptop to view the digital photos, making it much easier for my clients to view their images.  I do not own my own studio and therefore I only commit to weddings and location shoots.  I would be glad to meet at an outdoor location or even in your home for a sitting.  Some of the best pictures can be taken with a simple white or black backdrop.

My background also includes extensive involvement in a public relations capacity for a number of businesses, political and non-profit agencies as a photographer. I have spoken in several high schools• I have had the opportunity to work with, and meet some interesting people. Proven success as a professional photojournalist.

Photojournalistic work: Commercial photography for corporate headshots, events, theatre, publications and advertisements, Golf tournaments, company parties, tradeshows, seminars, fundraisers, and sporting events. Portfolios and promotional packages for models, performing artists, along with bands. Wedding Photography, Executive Portraits, Baby Fairs.

I personally prefer a more candid and intimate style of photography versus a “posed” type, especially in a portrait sitting.  I also enjoy black and white photography for it’s quiet simplicity.  I know that at weddings most people want at least a few traditional posed pictures but most of my coverage would be less intrusive, done instead in a documentary style.  We can discuss what photography style you have in mind for your portrait sitting or wedding.
